Anime Boston 2023 Announces More North American Guests

Voice Actors Christine Cabanos, and John Swasey To Appear at the Northeast's Largest Anime Convention

BOSTON — Anime Boston, the largest anime convention in New England, announced more North American guests today. Voice Actors Christine Cabanos and John Swasey will be appearing at Anime Boston at the Hynes Convention Center, Boston, Mass, on April 7 through 9, 2023.

Christine Cabanos is a Los Angeles–based voice actor, most well known for her roles in anime and video games. In the realm of anime, she can be heard as many beloved characters, such as Madoka Kaname from “Puella Magi Madoka Magica,” Azusa Nakano from “K-ON!,” Mako Mankanshoku from “Kill la Kill,” Squid Girl from “Squid Girl,” and more. In the video game world, Christine has voiced notable roles, such as Filia from Skullgirls, Chiaki Nanami from Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, Nepgear from the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, and many others.

John Swasey is an extremely well-accomplished voice actor and director with a love for working in the anime industry. In 1997, John landed his first role in “Golden Boy,” and since then, John has gone on to voice numerous characters from anime, video games, and more, such as Gendo in “Neon Genesis Evangelion,” Kogoro in “Sgt. Frog,” and the Captain in “Halo Legends.” To add, he has gone on to direct popular anime series, such as “Welcome to the N-H-K” and “Air Gear.” John also voiced General Disdain in the animated feature “Last Flight of the Champion.”
