Cyborg Fighter K' Enters the Battle in The King of Fighters AFK

LOS ANGELES - APRIL 2, 2026 - Netmarble, a renowned developer and publisher of high-quality games, has released an in-game update for its AFK RPG THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK, introducing a new fighter and brand-new content. 

This update features the new Legendary fighter K′, a cyborg created by NESTS with Kyo Kusanagi's genes. He is characterized by his introverted personality who finds it difficult to get along with others, and is known for his ability to control flames. Players can activate his signature skills such as “Crow Bite” and “Hyper Chain Drive.” 

The K′ Pick-Up Event and the [Deathblow] Synergy Fighter Summon Event are now underway through April 15 that provide players with a higher chance to obtain K′ and fighters with [Deathblow] synergy, respectively. In addition, the Bunny Express Event will be available from April 9 to April 22, where players can meet C′, a Legendary pet inspired by K′, and Eggcellent. The Lucky Elpy Event running from April 11 to April 15 will offer the chance to obtain a Legendary Supporter Suspicious Transfer Student.  

THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK is based on SNK's “THE KING OF FIGHTERS” IP. The game features iconic fighters from “THE KING OF FIGHTERS” series reimagined in pixel art graphics that gamers are familiar with from THE KING OF FIGHTERS R-2 on NEOGEO POCKET COLOR, allowing players to build their own team of favorite Fighters and enjoy dynamic combats. Players can strategically create their decks by combining at least 5 and up to 25 different Fighters and formations.
