Exclusive: Animax Asia Airs Simulcast of My Hero Academia, Twin Star Exorcists

My Hero Academia premieres April 3, Twin Star Exorcists on April 6

Regional anime channel Animax Asia confirmed with ANN on Monday that it will air the My Hero Academia and Twin Star Exorcists television anime series. New episodes will premiere on the channel on the same day they premiere in Japan.

My Hero Academia premieres on the channel on April 3 at 7:00 p.m. in Indonesia and Thailand, and at 8:00 p.m. in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, and will air every Sunday in the same time slot.

Animax Asia describes the series:

“People are not born equal.” This is a realisation Izuku Midoriya had when he was bullied by his classmates for being the only one in class without any special unique powers.

This does not stop Izuku from going after his dreams, a dream of being a great hero like AllMight. To become the great hero that he hopeless wants to be, Izuku then joined one of the highest rated ‘Hero Academies’ in the country, U.A High.

With the help of his idol AllMight, will he be able to claim the ranks and become a true hero?

Kenji Nagasaki (Gundam Build Fighters, Classroom Crisis, No. 6) is directing the anime at the studio BONES (Blood Blockade Battlefront, Concrete Revolutio, Fullmetal Alchemist). Yousuke Kuroda (Gundam Build Fighters, Honey and Clover, Trigun) is overseeing the series' scripts. The rock band Porno Graffitti is performing the opening, and the rock band Brian the Sun is performing the ending as their major label debut.

Twin Star Exorcists premieres on the channel on April 6 at 10:00 p.m. in Indonesia and Thailand, and at 11:00 p.m. in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines, and will air every Wednesday in the same time slot.

From the acclaimed studio that helmed hits like Naruto and Bleach comes this supernatural action-packed anime adventure. Twin Star Exorcists follows the journey of exorcists Rokuro and Benio, as they discover their destinies and pair up to combat the evil in the world.

Tomohisa Taguchi (Persona 4 the Golden Animation, Persona 3 the Movie #2 Midsummer Knight's Dream, Persona 3 the Movie #4 Winter of Rebirth) is directing the series at Studio Pierrot (Naruto Shippūden, Tokyo Ghoul, Yona of the Dawn). Shishō Igarashi (Unlimited Psychic Squad director) is serving as assistant director, Naruhisa Arakawa (MAOYU, Outbreak Company, Kingdom) is handling the series composition, Kikuko Sadakata (Corpse Princess, Muromi-san, Devils and Realist) is designing the characters, and Itsuko Takeda (Level E, Kingdom) is the chief animation director. Hitomi Kaji is performing the ending theme song "Eyes."
