Got in a couple of manga today, Arisa 6 and Cirque du Freak 12, which I had preordered way back in August or something.

Then at the comic book store, I found the first 3 issues of Area 88, and at 3 for $1, how could I not? But my main goal there was to get a short box because I need more manga storage. But it's weird, now that I've gotten the box and filled it with manga (the damn thing can only hold about 36-40 manga, my shelves can hold twice as much. Sure, i could've gotten a long box, but they're heavier to move too), it made me feel like I really have a problem with having too much manga. But with two manga series on my collection shelf ending soon, I'd need more room. And I can't physically fit any more shelves in. But now I have to find room for the damn boxes too, it never ends!

The last two weeks:

From an eBay vendor, a used--very good copy of Planetes v02 for $2.00 (+ $3 S&H). I also put bids in for v03 and v04 pt 1 but lost to $6 bids. Looking around at the going prices for this series I really, really wish I'd upped my max bid. Oh well-- I guess completing this OOP (but thankfully short at 5 volumes) series will just be an ongoing quest.

From another eBay vendor a set of 6 miniature furniture magnets which are perfectly sized for use as props for my small figures (like One Coins, Deformeister Petits, etc.).

From OtaCute I received a second Jotaro MSP figure. I ordered him in an impatient panic when I thought my Aikoudo order had gone astray in the US Postal System and by the time I found out it hadn't it was too late. I plan to just leave him unopened and maybe resell him someday when he's good & OOP.

From AmiAmi, the much-awaited JoJo's Part 2 - Cars (a.k.a. Kars) SAS figure:
(Pants? The Ultimate Being doesn't need pants!)

Also, 2 sets of 3 snap kit school desks/chairs in 1/12 scale (only one set is shown):
(shown with & without obi)
Which allows me to set up ridiculous classroom scenes like this. I was really happy & surprised to find out how simple these kits were to assemble and plan to buy more furniture snap kits for my guys figures.
And last but not least in the same shipment was my Tiger & Bunny Hero Book 2.

Speaking of Taibani I also preordered & prepaid for the Barnaby Brooks Jr. Figuarts ZERO Tamashii Web Shouten exclusive at Big in Japan. Between the Figuarts ZERO figures, the upcoming Deformeister Petit set, the Kyun-Charas, and the MegaHouse G.E.M.s, T&B is looking to be a major financial drain. Anime smallmouth

[Also downloaded B2ST's "Bad Girl" mp3 from Amazon. I love being able to buy individual K-pop mp3s there! It's especially handy because I don't tend to care for the ballads so at least half of each album is wasted on me. I also downloaded All American Rejects' "I Wanna" after hearing it used on this great Flower Boy Ramyun Shop fanvid which I've watched probably a hundred times now. Ironically enough, if laws like SOPA/PIPA pass I suppose I would've never in a million years have even heard this song, let alone bought it.]

Planetes is actually 6 volumes...unless you are talking about the manga? (which I have no idea about lol) I had such a hard time with Planetes Vol 2. In the end I was on my third copy before I got one that wasn't scratched to high hell.
Confused

Yes, I did mean the manga-- though I do plan to get the anime eventually.

I bought myself a few birthday presents from Rightstuf the other day.

Banner of the Stars II DVD 3
Dragon Drive DVD 4
Escaflowne: The Movie Blu-ray
Giant Robo Complete DVD Economy Set
Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 DVD Complete Collection 1
Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 DVD Complete Collection 2

I figured I would get some more of the Bandai titles I want now and not risk the chance of being sorry later.

Premature Purchase Sunday

Time of Eve BD
Denpa teki na Kanojo BD

I didn't want to place this until next week, but Time of Eve stock was running low and I didn't know when/if they'd get more. They had 15 in stock Tuesday when jmfsilenthill pointed it out to me, and it stayed there for a while with none, 1 or two going daily, but today it dropped to only 10 and it seems like they've been disappearing 1 every 30 minutes, so I decided to get now while getting is good. I've never seen it, but I've wanted to for some time and the BD has subs, so why not see it now?

Denpa teki I threw in there since I LOVE IT! It's a fantastic little OVA couple. This doesn't have subs, but that's what the internet is for, right?

Yea, I'm totally gonna turn into an import snob. The first sign - buying Japanese releases that don't have subs - is already in full force. I don't have much longer. Appreciate the gentleness of my posts now while you can, because it wont be long until I'm trashing you R1 dipshits for buying your cheap-ass American products while I'm actually supporting the industry by throwing this money at overpriced Japanese product.

OH GOD NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Laughing I can just imagine you watching your non-subbed Japanese imports in your kimono whilst gripping a handle-less ceramic cup of green tea in both hands (one wrapped around the cup, the other holding the base) from which you periodically take a loud slurp.

Some anime:
Banner of the Starts II Anime Legends dvd
The Big O Collection 1 Anime Legends
The Big O Collection 2 Anime Legends

Second time buying Banner since the first one I got was pretty beat up and I had to return it. Have most of the old Bandai stuff I want now except for Outlaw Star, Witch Hunter Robin, and some Gundam stuff.

Ef-A Tale of Memories Complete Collection
Squid Girl Part 2

Nothing wrong buying an "overpriced" product as long as you think the whole package is worth it. I particularly like a lot of the bonus items thrown in.

What's even better is hopefully more anime is released on BD in Taiwan - so you can be an import snob and save money at the same time!

I just wish it was easier to know not only what gets licensed, but what has a chance of getting a BD. If AnoNatsu gets licensed over there, and is put on BD for, like, $30 each and is a good, quality product, I'll be a little annoyed since I'm paying $400 for the JP release.
