By skip-watching I mean seeing all the episodes, but jumping through them. Either just a few episodes or the entire thing.

Normally I don't (actually I don't think I ever have before) but I realize that I just did to one. It was 13 eps and I watched 5 normally (technically the first 2 episodes twice, as I also saw them when the show was new) before realizing I didn't quite want to watch it but I did want to know the ending. But jumping to the end wouldn't tell me anything and a wiki would lack the emotion for the scenes I wanted to see.

So I figured I'd ask to see how common this is for people.

I haven't done this, but I can think of a few shows that I wish I had. I think going forward I may give this a try.

Absolutely NEVAR.

It completely goes against my policy. Anime hyper

........erm, well only one series: Sailor Moon. I saw Sailor Stars to the end before seeing any of S or SuperS.
And yes, I had many questions. Anime hyper
But I'm pretty certain that's the only one...and it was a VERY long time ago. Short explanation: available fansubs.

Yeah, I do that with pretty much all the hentai I watch. Just wanna get to the good stuff, ya know?

For normal anime, I did it with Yosuga no Sora for the same reasons.

Well, not all hentai jumps right into the sex scenes. Plus I don't much care for the typical foreplay stuff.

Funny you ask that because I did that today for the first time in a while. I really was not interested in the 5th graders training regime in Ro-Kyo-Bu, so I just skipped past that.

Vaisaga, why did you have to mention that, now I can't deny having never done it, I feel so ashamed. Embarassed

Also I think I may have done it with some Naruto episodes before when my patience was really being tested. Otherwise I like the story and like it one complete block.

Yeah, there can also be content that you're just not into. I run into that sometimes. Skip the fetish thing to get to the actual sex.

I remember that I also skip-watched a show once because I came to realize that I'd downloaded the wrong show by mistake. LOL.

When I saw Sailor Moon it wasn't skip-watched like in jumping through episodes. Instead it was in a kind of "best of" format which condensed all the story. 200 episodes condensed into something like 36 plot relevant ones. A friend requested I make a Fairy Musketeer Akazukin one like that for him but I never got around to it.

eh, I've occasionally done it with some vanilla PoRo titles. They can get so damn boring

I do that, but mostly it's just to see whether or not the hentai is worth "watching". Usually, I'll just skip forward and be on the lookout for anything I may like, but I'll usually have my opinion from the outset by judging the tone and the character designs.

For anime, I only do this if I'm deciding whether or not to start a series. I'll usually just grab episode 1 and skip through just to see what it looks like.

I've only done this once and that was with the first season of Sailor Moon. There was just so much filler there that I couldn't take watching every single episode, just to find the ones that actually advanced the plot. So I actually looked up which episodes were skipped in the original English broadcast and did the same in my own re-watch!

I also did watch the Stars season without having seen SuperS but I consider each season stands alone well enough that I don't think it's quite the same thing.

I didn't really see the point of bringing back Queen Nehelenia for the first six episodes of Sailor Stars

I skip watched the first half of Akikan to only see scenes from one side character before I just got tired of even doing that and dropped it.
