Is there anyone who could tell me if there are different editions of Intron Depot volume 1 by Masamune Shirow? I received yesterday Intron Depot 1, 2, 3, 4 and Intron Depot 1 is smaller than the others. A friend of mine said there is an edition that is same size as ID 2, 3, 4. Anyone knows something about this?

Nope, I think your friend is lying to you. I've browsed several japanese online stores and have never come across a second edition. I own ID 1,2,3 and my ID 1 is smaller in comparision to the rest. It's normal.

I think the best is Ballistics, lots of great CG works of Masamune Shirow. Bullets is good, but many pics are too small comparing to the other Intron Depot art books.

Bullets and Ballistics by far are the best outta the group, only because it compliments Shirow's reputation with the mecha and weaponry flair of GITS and Dominion.

The others...well, kinda awkward.

Why awkward? It's about Masamune Shirow's early art drawings, where he didn;t use CG too much or at all. There are great drawings there!

I think all four Intron Depot books are great. You can definately see the progression in Shirow's art style, though I will say that I miss his simpler artwork; his latest CGI art stylings can look very busy & cluttered.

If you get one Intron Depot book you really need to get them all. Wink

When I think of Shirow, I think of Ghost in the Shell. Dominion. Appleseed. His Sci-Fi Stuff.

Not to mention that art from all 3 of those series is ONLY featured in the first one.
