It usually takes around two months for Ghibli/GKIDS films to get to my local art house theater. :/ But then I just think to myself that I'm lucky to get to see them at all, a lot of people don't have that luxury.

Just a heads up that the tickets on sale now in NY are for a few select shows, and will be accompanied by limited 11x17" alt poster giveaway. They do not represent the full run of shows that will eventually be at the theater.

The "full" run of shows will be up in two weeks, including more subtitled shows (everything 7pm and later). But I expect these screenings to all sell out, and most of the first weekend (hooray), so advance purchase in NY is generally recommended.

Working to get LA tickets on sale now. Advance purchase would be helpful there, too, as we fight to maintain first weekend relevance against like 20 competitive films. Will work to get some 11x17" alt posters there, too.

Yeah, that'd be nice, but you're dealing with the a-holes at the Sucklight, so...

I presume, if they're doing limited engagements in October, that means it'll get a limited-wide release by the end of November. Which should help a lot with its Oscar potential, especially in a weak year for animated movies.

It's going to play Pittsburgh. I hope to have a theater list up on Kaguya's FB page by end of the week, early next week, and we'll just keep adding to it.
