I don't usually watch much live action but I will need to find a way to watch this in english in the future.

But like on every other Chihayafuru thread, I feel obligated to:

- Cry and complain because Kodansha refuses to license the manga.
- Cry and complain a bit more because nobody wants to license the anime in bluray/dvd for USA or UK (only a plain dvd australian version exists...)

Sigh.

THIS. All of this.

I want to own anything related to Chihayafuru so bad. It's an incredible series. Here's hoping the movies draw a lot of new people into the franchise. Be it manga, anime, or live action, I will buy them. Shut up and take my money already.

It's just so strange. Anyone I've recommended the anime to has enjoyed it and begged for more. But all we can do is watch Crunchyroll (better than nothing for sure) or read the scanlations. This is Grade A stuff and it's weird that someone doesn't see the market for a sub-only release.

Yes, totally agree about crying about how it seems like nothing will ever be released in English where I live (America). I recently caved and bought the bilingual versions of volumes 1-2 that Kodansha published, just to own SOMETHING Chihayafuru in English, but they're not very good translations and the way it's edited is pretty awkward. But in the absence of anything else, I decided to make do. Would totally buy anything they actually published here, though. Also I wish I lived near Montreal.

;o, me too.
Sometimes I feel quite lonely following this manga. None of my friends read it.
