1. The game is being for the North American market, and usually Square Enix doesn't do dual-language releases, thus it is the English actors.
2. The n-word usage is uncalled for, hence my censoring your post.

Steve Burton's been doing the voice of Cloud since his first ever speaking role in Kingdom Hearts way back in 2002. Same goes for JAT as Tidus (2001). Doug Erholtz has improved since he took over for Squall/Leon in KH2 (2006). Yuri Lowenthal's gotten more of a chance to play Cecil since the DS remake (2008). Ali Hillis, Bobby Edner, and Ray Chase shaped how we came to know Lightning, Vaan, and Noctis. And as for the rest, the first Dissidia game was their very first outing. They've come a long way from dealing with crappy direction telling them to mimic the Japanese actors. Now they're allowed to, you know, actually act their parts like any respectable VO job should let them do.
These are guys people have given a shit about years before anyone even knew the Japanese actors' names, let alone their performances. And no amount of Japanese acting will just up and automatically steal everybody's hearts away from them.
