So since Eleven Arts is commissioning the English dub, does that mean they have NA home video rights? As opposed to their apparent theatrical-only rights for A Silent Voice.

Eleven Arts never release into the home video market, they are exclusively theatrical. Probably we'll get early sub screenings first then subsequent dub screenings will follow like what they did with A Silent Voice. (of course this could depend on circumstances like turnout). If they're dubbing it they're probably hoping to let it tour in the festival circuits and/or make it more enticing for a distributor later. |
