I should pick up the manga at some point curious how it compares to its anime counterpart.

It’s already way past the anime. The manga is adapting the whole LN story and already at the beginning of LN Vol 8 where the final arc starts. The final arc is quite long as it covers LN Vol 8-10. It will take about two more years for the manga to reach the end.

Pity that Chivalry of a Failed Knight's manga adaptation couldn't get a similar treatment.
It only covered the 1st 4 volumes, and Vol 4 was more of a prelude/setup to a pretty long tournament arc from Vols 5-9.
