I found the first two volumes of the manga interesting, but wow, did the story go in some strange directions after that.

I dropped this manga a while back. It starts off super interesting but it becomes really slog to read with plot that goes nowhere and the really boring, indecisive, apathetic MC. Though I haven't read the novels so I can't really tell whether it follows the novel faithfully or not.
