That's an interesting premise for a romcom. Although knowing the framing device is a divorced protagonist reminiscence on her high school days, I kind of wonder how it could end. She ends up getting back together with the basketball ace as adults?

Even setting aside the "looking back on the 90s" aspect of this (which sounds fun), I find the basic setup of this oddly intriguing for some reason. It's the sort of thing that feels like it's surely been done many times before, but I'm drawing a blank on thinking of any actual examples (at least where it's a girl hiding she's an otaku from the "normie").
