...Well that just seems like a bit of a waste to be honest. Aside from that weird bonus scene at the very end that's apparently taken from an omake at the very end of the final manga volume, there is nothing in that compilation film that wasn't already in the TV specials.
Or, I guess it has some animation cleanups. I reckon CR never updated their footage to account for BD animation tweaks? And those were carried over into the movie edit. So okay, I guess in that one sense there is a little bit of a point here. But like... this movie literally is just those two specials stitched together with the credits from Part 1 removed. It serves basically no purpose outside of "Here's a chance to relive the finale on the big screen!" which obviously doesn't do anything if you're not actively watching it on the big screen. And I don't know if there were any further animation revisions for the movie compared to what was released on BD for the specials, so I'm not entirely sure there would have been any point to this if CR ever updated the video for those. |

I wasn't going to re-watch 1 1/2+ hours of it again to see if I could spot any differences. I just skipped to the end to watch the omake.
