So is this really an indicator that we're getting a Xabungle remake/reboot? Because this seems to tell me and indicate that we're probably on a possibility of a remake/reboot of this anime series.

Uh, no, otherwise they would've announced the same for Dunbine already...

Like Dunbine, I think these are both ways to keep the series fresh and test out new animation techniques.

This video is awesome.

I do hope we can get a new Byston Well anime though.

Mostly I'm just reminded of how much i like Xabungle, definitely one of favourite Tomino works.

Whilst i would like, or at least would watch, a remake I can't see it getting enough episodes to work, even the Gundams have been getting shorter.

I doubt it'll ever happen but I'd love it if we got Xabungle and Ideon on blu ray in English again. I feel like those came out, I'd heard something was wrong with them and they were out of print mega fast and never got back in print. Both of these are ones I'd wanna watch and own.

I don't recall hearing of any problems with the Ideon blu-ray set, nor did I encounter any issues with my own set. What did happen, though, is that the release got delayed from its original release date as a standard-definition blu-ray to a later date so they could release it as a high-definition blu-ray release instead.

Hence why I asked are Dunbine and Xabungle "experimental animation video" actually a teaser or any indication that those 2 series are going to get remake given the trend of older anime from the 80's are getting remakes/reboots aka new adaptation like Ranma 1/2, and Urusei Yatsura. I'm starting to think this could lead to that, but we'll have to wait and see.

These animation experiment videos have been quite interesting, it's nice seeing Sunrise animating other mecha series aside from Gundam (and Code Geass), hope that maybe they could do some shorts focusing on '90s mecha shows like Escaflowne, Gasaraki and the Brave Series

Escaflowne trended in Japan late of last year, so at least that anime title is still relevant in Japan and is not dead. So IMO, I don't think it needs a "experimental anime" video to get some relevance given the report I mentioned.

Makes me miss the glory days of 2D Mecha, but the CG wasn't bad here.
