Not surprised at all especially since the Hulu stuff is already on Disney+ outside of the states. Also the duo bundle for both is just a dollar more than having standalone Hulu so they’ve definitely have been trying to entice more people to watch the Hulu stuff on the Disney app.

I hope Yu Gi Oh Sevens and Go Rush become more popular on this new streamer merged.

I'm cool with this as long as we don't lose a bunch of shows like we did with the Funimation/Crunchyroll merger.

Oh, when I first saw this earlier pop up I figured it meant that Hulu was going away and it would just be D+ like it is outside the US. If there's still two subscriptions, that's disappointing.

Don't get your hopes up thinking they're gonna start actually making their anime discoverable or anything like that after this merger, their Star+ brand (the international version of Hulu) was merged from a separate app last year, and they have done nothing to show they care for anime (there isn't even an anime category, you need to know what you're looking for), so all this means is now it's all gonna get buried under all the other Disney+ content.

I hope this means that Canadian Disney+ subscribers will have access to all Hulu content. We don't get Hulu in Canada. And not all Hulu anime is available on the Disney+ platform in Canada. For example, I can't get Isekai Suicide Squad on it.

Isn't it on HBO/MAX in Canada?

So will all the titles on Hulu remain the same but it will just be on a single app instead of separate?

Nope. Up here it's called Crave and again we don't necessarily get everything that HBO/MAX offers in the US.

Yeah, pretty much. Hulu was at one point a joint venture between several companies, but once Disney bought the other shares out, it was only a matter of time before they wound it down.

Animation from WBD/HBOmax usually ends up there because of their deal with Corus Entertainment (although I think this is unrelated)
