I only watched this to look at boobs and I'm not sorry about it.

well i liked it. is a shonen series that not part of the weekly shonen jump magazine which is rare in itself.

also the series do get better later on in the manga so the upcoming arcs will improve the anime overall along as that the writers do not remove too much stuff from the source materials for that is how we got the ubel blatt disaster

There are loads of Shonen which are not part of weekly shonen jump.

I said in the preview guide, but this is the generic Shonen that people think other Shonen are.

While shows like Kaiju No. 8, Chainsaw Man, and Jujutsu Kaisen were moving the genre forward, this one felt like it was regressing it because boy howdy was it middling and mediocre.

Not that it could have been this fun edgelord little slopfest, but nope.Just bland bland bland. Also folks need to apologize to Oda for how he designs One Piece characters, because this show is worse.

That is a perfectly fair approach.

I do think the show is completely watchable, but also rather unremarkable. Particularly in a season with more Gatchiakuta. Even an isekai like My Status as an Assassin is going hard in trying to resemble a 90s era production. In comparison this is just…there.

"It almost feels like the show is telling its story backward" - Funny you should say that about a Momotaro anime!

Almost all of the guys look the same, except for different hairstyles, and all of the women have the same big boob figure.

Surely there's some variety

Tougen Anki is basically like those 2000s shonen productions so i'm kinda rooting for it on that

Read the first volume a couple years ago and all I could think was that this was just "Blue Exorcist at Home". Guess it never gets better then.

Well said. I don't really have anything to add (totally agree btw), but I chuckled when I read this.

yea i know. the problem is that a majority of those shonen series that are NOT part of the weekly shonrn jump bandwagon are rarely if ever known overseas unless their given an anime adaptation and released in the US, and even then those anime & the source materials their based off are mostly forgotten! so yea, its as i said. this series is rare in itself that its this popular amd well known outside of japan, and it is not under the weekly shonen jump bandwagon!
