Hayashibara voices a TV reporter in the OVA/TV series (Momoko Sakurayama), so I thought they might be bringing her back at first glance. Nope, someone new.

If Momoko was around 25 in the TV series, she'd be at least 62 in Patlabor Ezy. In addition, none of original cast are returning, so why on earth would they bring back Momoko? |

Just an innocent observation since she has voiced someone in Patlabor before, that's all.

Hayashibara also voiced all the female characters in the Patlabor Reboot short from a decade ago, and it does look like her character in this is based on one of them. So in a sense she is reprising a role.
