Yay! Filler done! Although really that wasn't half bad filler, it really added to Naruto, Azuma, and a little to Sakura as well, and practically fit with the rest of the series.
Anyways, yeah, no Sasuke yet, there's an arc to get through before that, but then TONS of Sasuke, to the point that Naruto will practically disapear for about a year or so.

Finally its ended. I'm just hoping the next arc won't be at a snails pace compared to the first arc. Even if it is edited on the Tv broadcast the DVD's would be uncut when it is released and if Viz gets the DVD version of the series it might be censored a bit more.

Loved the little teaser clip before the credits. Can't wait for this next arc to start. Maybe it'll revive the enjoyment I was feeling before this last arc. Hopefully!
Also, just to hop onto the last page conversation of Sakura... I thought she was more or less weak in this past arc, but that is probably simply because it was filler and everyone was weak. Lets get her into some real battle already, mmkay?

this was one of the better fillers but I'm glad it's back to the main story now. I must say I really missed kakashi during this one. Usually I always complain about azuma not getting proper development the second he does I miss kakashi
I thought the filler would be over soon because they changed the opening recently. Sakura certainly is stronger than before but it's just something about her that I just don't like (Maybe it's the pink hair.) I don't know what's going to make me love her as much as everyone else. Lot's of people tell me all the great things about her and I just don't see it.

I 'm really excited about the filler ending (even though it was decent). I want to see how they do azuma's, Itachi and jiraiya's deaths. Even though it'll be a long time from now, I cant wait to see Sasuke try to capture the rapping jinjurikii (sorry, can't spell it ) as part of the akatsuki

Watch those spoilers Killua, even tagged they don't like people talking in specific terms about events way far away from the manga.

Don't get too excited, they only changed the opening to show off scenes from the upcoming movie, which is what they typically do. They'll run that one for another few weeks and then go back to the standard one (or switch to a new permanent one).
Oh, and for Sakura fans, don't get your hopes up. She gets remarkably little growth for a while yet. She kinda peaked getting to fight puppet guy. One of Kishimoto's problems is that he's created so many fun characters, but sometimes has problems showcasing all of them, usually only focusing on one at a time for many many chapters/episodes. He really needs to get another "Hunt for Sasuke' level arc going at some point.

Seriously I really like the team with kiba, hinata and shino but they get like no development most of the time and it kinda sucks. So if your favorite girl happens not to be sakura then well you have to wait for a years worth of filler to even getting a little bit of character development.

<---- No knowledge of manga. So were these guys Hedan (religious guy) and Kuzuu (money monger) (totally made up those names but I think they might be close) always in akatsuki or did they replace Dedara and Puppet master (I want to say Zabuza but that wasn't his name)? I thought the guy with the swirly mask took Dedara's place but then we never saw him again. I forgot it was so long ago! Also are they looking for Naruto? I thought each akatsuki team was assigned to a jinchurikki and these guys just got that 1 or 2 tail woman. I am confused T-T and sorry for all my butchered spellings and made up names! ^^

I have no idea, but they are absolutely hilarious together. Especially the religious dude. Screw Naruto and his training... I'd have been happy having this whole episode be the battle between religious dude and monk ninja.

Hidan and Kakuzu were always in Akatsuki. The anime actually gave more focus to them in the beginning of Shippuuden than what was in the manga.

Yeah, they didn't go too much into the two fights they showed because that's what they showed in the manga, and they don't want to spoil the techniques that they use until the points from the manga where they show them (fighting key characters). I think it'd be great if instead of more filler, after they wrap up the manga-based fights with them, they go back and show how those previous fights actually went down.
Anyways, yeah, Hidan and Kakuzu were always members in the shadows (actually, you can tell it's them if you go back to the Gaara eps of Shippuden by their eyes and hair). There are still several members not yet shown. The swirly masked guy is in the mix too, and he gets some screen time in a little bit. As for why those two are after more and one Jinchuriki, remember it's one per person, not one per pair, and Akatsuki's a bit short staffed now anyways.

Thanks for clarifying Ohoni. I do recall now that Deidara and Puppets were going after Garaa and Naruto. I'm quite intrigued as to what techniques these guys are using and how Naruto is going to beat them without the fox... his wind training hasn't been too impressive so far ^^

Deidara was only going after Gaara. We never got to see who Sasori was after.
Naruto is Itachi's target.

Just have patience, you'll get you're fair share of that swirly mask guy in future episodes. Let's just say he plays a MAJOR role latter on.
Man, Hidan and Kakkuzu are here already!? Definitely gotta start watching again, or at least the episodes with them in it anyways...... Otherwise I think I'll just stick with the manga for now.

Yeah, although technically I don't think it really matters who gets whom, if you see a jinchuriki, get out the pokeballs.

Yeah, they first appear in 72, which is the bookend between the filler arc and the manga arc (the filler was really quite watchable though, more like D.Gray-Man filler than previous Naruto or Bleach filler).
