Since Inu-Yasha's nothing but reruns outside of Saturday, I'm glad they switched out its weeknight slot for Detective Conan. It's something new to break up the endless monotony of Inu-Yasha, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, & Big O reruns, and it'll be around for a while providing the ratings hold up. My vote's for Conan simply because it's something new that will tide viewers over at least until Ghost in the Shell: Stand-Alone Complex and Full Metal Alchemist hit Adult Swim in October.

I totally agree with you. I sware they have been running Bebop continsuly for about three yeras. It's nice to see something new.
But, if I had to pick between both ofthem as series, I pick Inouysha. Maby I haven't seen enough of Case Closed to really get into it, but Inouysha for the time beaing is the better series for me.

Well, I like Inu-Yasha, but I've already seen just about all of the fansubs. So unless I'm just curious to watch it in English, then I won't be watching it at all.
I haven't seen Detective Conan/"Case Closed" and would like to. But I have summer school now and must be in bed by a certain time. By the way, how's the dubbing compared to the original?

I prefer Inu Yasha over Case Closed. But it is nice to see something new on Adult swim for once. If they keep run the same shows over and over again they will run them into the ground where nobody will want to see it for a while. Yet the way they are doing it now is good with new Inu Yasha episodes on Saturdays with Case Closed the rest of the week.

I liked them both and both series are long in length as well. Tony K. the englishdub of Inuyasha is doing well and I be watching the new episodes too. Anyway for Case Closed I'm fond of Sherlock Holmes's and other people's mysteries(sp?) and other cases so this will be my first anime about crime cases. I like the new layout of AS as well it needs new anime. I still prefer Inuyasha over Case Closed.

Yeah. I've seen a few. They're OK, I suppose. I found a few certain lines to be quite funny actually, but I'm still too used to the Japanese voices.
It's not that I think the dub is bad. I love the Ocean Group and all, but I guess my standards are a little too high.

I don't need to see Inuyasha repeats every day. It's nice to have something new (even though it's kind of old...) regardless of the dub...which could be worse if you consider who does it.

Whoops. I just realized something that might have confused some of you.
When I initially asked "how's the dubbing compared to the original," I just meant Detective Conan/"Case Closed" and not Inu-Yasha. I've already seen some of those (IY dubs) and think they're OK.
I just wanted to clear that up.

Both of the shows are excellent. Personally I like the way it's set up now, don't really have to choose right?
Of the two, I think I like Case Closed a little more. I've actually abandoned poker games (that I was even or winning) so I wouldn't miss it.
Plus, I like the mystery angle, it's less common than the more action oriented Inu Yasha. It's refreshing (and it's making me read Sherlock Holmes finally).

You’re keeping score?
Then, I want a re-count.

We don't want (or need) a tally.. if that's all this thread's being used for, I'm just gonna lock it.. but I'd prefer seeing some discussion instead.
