All right, this is a long shot, but I figured I'd try. Anyone know of a site that hosts scripts for anime shows (I mean official scripts, not fanslated stuff)? There's script sites for regular movies and TV, so I figured there'd be one for anime...if not, then that's OK too.

I think you're forgetting the language barrier there. I'm sure they could be sites like that, but...would you be able to read the results? Probably not.
There aren't any adaptive script archives, though, if that's what you're asking. There's not really any value in it as adaptive scripts are just dialogue, not description, and therefore equal to a transcription some fan makes. I actually wish there were more "transcription" sites, personally. All you can find are ones for GitS and EVA, given the popularity of those series and the fans' tendency to analyze every bit of the dialogue. |

Well some dvd booklets (in japan anyway) come with scripts but I'm not sure if anyone has organized them and put them online.

Yeah, I meant more for adaptive scripts (sub or dub). Mostly interested in as much for my own reference, and if I ever needed to pull a quote or anything...but I'm guessing an English archive of such is buried deep within the search results on Google, if it exists at all. Again, probably a lot harder to find something like this than a site hosting movie scripts, since anime is so niche.

For theatrically-released anime, you could download subtitle files from the various online databases available. They're not quite scripts, but it allows you to look at all the lines themselves, provided you can deduce who it is who's saying them.

Hmm, the only time I've ever seen anything like that was with the DVDs of Le Chevalier D'eon. The booklet each volume brought had a script for a prequel/side story thing (never animated, but written in script format anyway). It was interesting because aside from the usual descriptions and dialogue there were also some instructions on how to draw the characters for certain shots...like "Lia's lips should be drawn softer when she says this" or something like that.

I found a Serial Experiments Lain site during the summer of last year that had a transcript of all 13 episodes from the official English subs. Should try tracking that down again... |

There was the scriptclub site, but it wasn't exactly legal and has been dead for some time.
I think I have three reproduction ADR scripts, from Clannad, Clannad AS and from some Negima series or other. I've also got conte books that were included with a number of series which usually includes some basic dialog outline. All in Japanese of course. I've also got a couple of actual ADR scripts from Kiddy Grade and some A4 draft scripts for the first few episodes of Uta Kata. |
