This is something I've mentioned before here, and I'll rewrite the question a bit.
Generally, there seems to be two ends of the hardcore Japanese otaku spectrum (obviously the males and females) where they're into moe and/or ecchi fanservice or boys-love. Does anyone find it egregious how the former fandom consists of liking mostly girls where the relationships is either straight or in the tricky, ambiguous Class S relationship (sometimes the girls play off lesbian antics just because "girl-on-girl is hot") while the latter fandom where they like all guys being really lustful and loving to other guys? You would think there will be a fandom of equal ranking of popularity and directly opposite of either moe/ecchi fanservice or boys love. |

Has it occurred to you that you are watching a profit-driven entertainment media? And that there could be a difference between that and pursuing a post-grad psychology degree?
Add to that that many of the producers of anime are mediocre at best on the creativity scale. Add to that the 90% rule. If you are researching a term report, make sure of your data set. Otherwise here is a resolution for you: watch what you like to watch and ignore the rest. |

Sasameki Koto is the best girls love anime I've seen so far. Sadly, only 13 episodes (here's hoping for season 2!)
{This is either a deliberate non sequitur or a moronic troll. Either way, it doesn't contribute to the already-weak thread, at all. Don't make me break out the dunce cap. -- abunai} |

I think you said this:
In the past people like seeing girls displayed as sluts. In the present people like seeing "gay" anime. What's your opinion and is this change in taste offensive? Again idk I think thats what you said. My opinion: Um I don't care and I believe presently people like seeing women act like very submissive dependent sluts in their anime. Heh what I see. Hardly you see strong independent females in anime. If I didn't answer your question its because I don't get quite what ur saying and I'm bored. |
