The idea of a buffet would be damn awesome, something I'd be willing to pay good money for and people can select what they want, where Viz can also offer discounts for selecting more or even all.. but with the important caveats of: 1) providing back issues, which can be done gradually 2) include Shueisha's other Jump* mags since Viz already include a few titles outside of WSJ proper 3) uncensored. But yeah, I agree it's nigh impossible.

About the English version of the manga coming out the same day as the Japanese versions; how do they make it possible?

I'd assume by working closely with their license partners overseas and getting the digital files of the comics in advance to do the translations. Its not like the manga over in Japan is finished the day it comes out, they have to have a bit of lead time to actually put the magazines together, get them printed and distribute them in stores. These aren't scanlations that need to wait until the manga are already out in Japan to get at the material. |
