I am sad to pass along that the North American release for Final Fantasy Advent Children has been delayed from Sept 13 to Nov 29, 2005.

After weeks of trying to contact Sony to order in the DVD and UMD for the Sept 13 release date, I found out 15 minutes ago from my new DVD distributor that the DVD has been delayed until November 29. Unfortunately they couldn't tell me if it has also been delayed in Japan.

The Sony rep that my distributor spoke to wasn't sure why it has been delayed either. I just wanted to pass this information along to other fans who are eagerly awaiting this release.

Aww man, I was really waiting for this. Actually I would love to see a FF7 remake for the PS3, just like the Tech Demo they played at E3

The last news (8-17) on it was the release in selected theathers in Japan and you have to be in the official "Shinra Company" online fan club hosted at Square Enix's site to get to see it, GameSpot says that the release date is still September 14th (Japan, US 13th). Either they was a change in the last three days or someone got told something that wasn't true. Given that it's 3 weeks away from release, it would have to be something big.

ADD ON: Eck. Well, more info added.

Actually, the release date was pushed back about two weeks ago, and I'm actually suprised it took this long for this news to make it onto the forums. Ah well, the movie should be worth the wait either way...

Well, I'm not a huge FFVII fan, but my stance on this movie is that it can't be worse than FF: The Spirits Within

Make sure you make that 1000 dollar check out to me. Wink

I mean it's a common thing to have doubts about it........but if it turn out pretty decent, you're going to be eating your words and look stupid at the same time.

I think that was to be expected.
I mean they didn't even release an English Trailer yet (the one were only the Narrator talks doesn't count of course)

Try the Steamboy DVD, but other that one, that's it. English narroator, but I'm not very sure they were any character speaking.

Yep. The ONLY English Trailer was the one with the Narrator talking in English, but all the charcters IN the movie were talking in Japanese.
It can't really be considered an English Trailer, but that is all they have released so far.

I'm sure there will be more, mostly TV ads for CN and G4, 2 or 3 weeks away from the release date.
