hello and welcome to another topic hosted by the notoriously idiotic space cowboy. first off apologise if this has been done before but i had a quick look and couldn’t find anything.
ok so we are looking at anime moments. these moments can come from a series or film or just about anything. if u think it a true moment then tell us about it.
by anime moment i mean a moment in anime that really captures something special. be it either a certain characters emotions. a moment of tension or suspense. maybe its ur favourite moment because its just tooo damn funny. ANY THING. it doesn’t matter as long as u think its should be added.
anime moments like moments in film do need to be special it no good if u talk about the time spike had noodles from a cup. but then again i did say anything so knock urselfs out.
my favourite anime moment in cowboy bebop is where Julia is shot and spike kneels down beside her. i believe it really captures the characters emotions and the look of absolute devastation when he turns to see she’s been hit is unforgettable.
another moment is in cowboy bebop again (sorry for talking about nothing but bebop since i signed up for ANN). its in sympathy for the devil where the kid (cant remember his name) takes shots at spike with a gun. spike stands completely still and confident the bullets will miss. and even when they don’t he doesn’t even break a sweat.
these are my favourite moments both from the same series im sorry to say. Apologise if this has been done before or u cant understand a word im saying. im English which puts me at an immediate disadvantage lol
cheers

OOOOKaaaaay why not.
For me favorite is also emotional and dramatic so-
Chrno Crusade- yeah, well it was emotional when Chono and Rosette are about to kiss at the carnival. and also of course the most sad click clock of the clock to silence in the sunset, nya.
Wouldn't be a complete favorite moment recall without my spawning anime Elfen Lied-
You know that part when Kohta grabs Lucy from behind as she's walking away and she says "but why" and he says "I don't know" and says he can't forgive her but... and she turns around and all the memories flash by and and *sniff*
Ah so many in Elfen Lied...

I'll admit, I've not watched a lot of anime. Maybe 2 or 3 dozen different series. My favorite scene was from Final Fantasy: Advent Children.
When Kadaj transformed into Sephiroth. When he is falling off the ledge I started to feel goose bumps. I knew something was to happen. Then he transformed...and said those words "It's been a while, Cloud." I've always enjoyed the FF games, but a few years ago after hearing that they were making a movie I couldn't wait. I knew the graphics would make it well worth the wait. Those words still stick with me to day. Gah...Now I want to watch it again

I would have to say my favourite moment in my short while watching anime would have to be in the first episode of One Piece where you first meet Luffy. I thought it was hilarious when he bursts out of the barrel and knocks the pirate out cold. It's even funnier because he's so oblivious to the fact that he hit the guy.

One of my favorite moments was in Elfen Lied when Lucy was a little girl and all the kids were picking on her puppy, and the she killed them all. I never thought this scene would make me happy because they deserved it, or in some way anime had warped my fragile little mind.
Hey what the hell, I'll add another Cowboy Bebop. When Ed and Ein leave the Bebop crew was the first time an anime made me feel all emotional. I never saw anime the same way again.
Also, in Blue Gender, in volume 2 when the little girl Yuji swore to protect was taken/killed by the Blue. This was the first complete series I collected volume per volume. After this scene, I was speechless and another reason I love anime so much.
We've all seen so much anime that we can sit here all day and type out scenes, so maybe you might want to set some type of rule. Maybe only one favorite scene. I posted mine because you posted more than one so I figured what the hell I'll do the same.

For me the best anime moment in history was in the Saint Seiya Hades OVA when [spoiler]Shiryu's old master reveals his true self and fights Shion of Aries. [spoiler]. It is the greatest moment for me because I waited almost 10 years to see his true self. I always wondered what he'd look like when he was younger, because on a few occasions they showed only his silouette while wearing the armor of Libra. And then when he confronted Shion I knew he was going to fight, but I thought he was going to be like Yoda (a little puppet bouncing around) but in fact he reverted himself to his true self and that was just incredible. The most amazing moment in anime history.

I think one of the most exciting moments ever is in The End of Evangelion when Asuka fights the white evas. Ok, i love classical music, and J.S. Bach is one of my favourites composers from the baroque. It was so exciting to hear one of my favourite pieces and see a so fantastic and inspiring fight, Asuka in the Eva in her best moment. I love when people use classical music without ruining it, and that scene was very very good. Those moments when the Eva 02 cutted other eva's legs and all that was fantastic.
And, from the same movie there is another emotive moment, there are a lot of people on a theater, and there is the cantata 147, again, one of my favourite pieces ever, used in the right moment, it was too much for me
Bye bye, take care.

I liked the moment Kasuga and Ayukawa kissed in Kimagure Orange Road. Also, the part in Berserk where Griffith starts tearing into his own flesh while revealing he sold his butt to a homo so he could buy weapons and supplies.

I forgot one of my favorite anime moments from one of my favorite series... Kino's Journey. In Episode 4 when we are told Kino's origin. The first episodes were pretty good, but by the end of the third one, I was pretty worn out (To Kino's defense, it was about 3am). The I saw the 4th episode and i wanted more. I thought Kino was a boy, so I didn't know what was about to happen. I though Kino was (Not really spoiler since not true) now older and still continuing "his" journey... I even thought it was a new Hermes he was building. Most people may have seen that scene coming a mile away, but it was probably more significant to me due to my mis-understanding of the character's gender.

Same. Elfen Lied had the best moments I've ever seen.

I was wowed by the moment in Fruits Basket when riceball was called towards the end of the episode. It was that moment when I felt that Fruits Basket was an amazing series.
The Bebop scene when Ein and Ed were leaving was also really cool, but my memory span is a bit short, and it's been a while since I saw that episode. This scene was the beginning of the end, Bebop crew breaking up , I don't think anyone wanted that to happen.

Every time I see it, it's like I don't see it coming. I always get so emotional... I don't even think the whole event even takes more than 2 minutes.

Love Hina one of the many times Keitaro gets hit by Mokoto(?) and flies in the air, and chika(?) asked was the earth blue from up there. I know the scene wasn't that funny, but for some reason I laughed so hard at it when I first saw it and the scene is always there in my mind.
