Hey, I was wondering if you guys knew of any animes that had just a guy (possibly a group of friends) and it's about nothing in particular but his day to day life and he learns lessons and just hangs out with people. If you've ever watched the show Undergrads I would prefer if it was something like that. Just a bunch of friends hanging out and learning about life. No magic. No demons. Just regular life.

I would have to recommend Honey and Clover. I think it is perfect for you. It is basically about life during and after college. It helps one understand what to do with life. Maybe even question about it more.
In the anime, there are many people that just hang around day to day questioning different things in life. |

I've never seen it, but it's on my list for exactly that reason: Zettai Shounen. It sounds like it has sci-fi elements, but more or less ignores them, I don't really know.
So you want one without any magic... no aliens... I'm assuming no romance either, as there are billions of those. Here's some of the ones I've seen or are watching: Binbou Shimai Monogatari - Tale of two poor sisters NANA - 2 girls named Nana move in together PlanetES - Surprisingly grounded in reality for a show about space garbage collectors Hikaru no Go - No special tricks or powers here, just some really good well done drama. But... it's a show about Go, not for everyone. Princess Princess - Although there's a weird twist, it's just a bunch of guys hanging out at their all-boys school. Notice a theme there? Maybe not, as I specifically tried to give you a varied selection, but I did, nearly every show I could think of was a shoujo. There are very very few guy oriented shows where the guys are just "hanging out" that don't involve sci-fi or gimmicks of some kind. Even Cowboy Bebop is about a guy and his little posse hanging out and doing stuff in a sort of sol manner, but they're doing it IN OUTER SPACE!!11!1 ooooooo.... spiffy. Nothing wrong with it in my mind, that just seems to be how it works out. If you're open to a girl just hanging out with her group of friends and maybe even allowing romance in there, then you've got thousands of titles. |

The characters start accepting the supernatural that occur around them and learn to coexist with it. Aside from subtle elements of supernatural, it is a relaxing slice-of-life series and a wonderful watch. It's one of those series where you really wish you were in there slowly uncovering the mystery with the characters. The characters all act in believable and realistic ways, as they decide on what to do with their current lives, and whether to confront the supernatural or pretend they don't exist. It's a wonderful watch, and #5 on my list. |

It seems like what you're looking for is simply a "slice of life" anime series that doesn't involve anything supernatural.
Like Darc_Knight, I also highly Honey and Clover, it should fit your request perfectly. Ouran High School Host Club might also strike your fancy. It's might not be as normal as what you're looking for, but it should still get the general idea through. |

No offense, but hardly any of these suggestions fits the descprition Anime_Newcomer provided. As soon as I read the opening post, Genshiken sprang immediately to mind. Just a group of college kids hanging out and talking about anime. I'll also second Nana, although it's not so much about just hanging around as it is about two young women struggling to start their new lives and careers in Tokyo. But the struggles they encounter (especially Nana K.) are very realistic and relatable. Honey and Clover is wonderful as well, although I find some of the characters to be slightly unrealistic.

From what I've read, how about Boys Be ? (I haven't seen it yet, but I plan too, based on my own desire to find [something that sounds like what you described].)
Also - Kare Kano (His & Her Circustamces.) It's HS Romance / Coming of Age, so it's more than just "hanging out" but I've never seen "real life" more artfully explored and poigniantly displayed. One of my all time fav's. (That last bit is a joke - I haven't seen enough Anime for even a top 10 list yet - so take my recomendations with a grain of salt!) |

No magic, no mech, no mythical creatures? That's a rather tall order, but I'll do my best.
How about Sakura Diaries? It's a romantic comedy that doesn't have any magic or mechs or mythical anything. Human Crossing covers 'A day in the life of...' for lots of folks. There's lots of good 'daily life' content in there if you're willing to jump from one person's life to another over and over again. There's also titles like My Neighbors the Yamadas that cover a whole family for a short while. No magic or mechs or demons in that one either. If you're willing to explore more mature titles, you should consider Millennium Actress and Grave of the Fireflies as well. For truly crazy tales of day-to-day life you can try titles like Ping Pong Club and even Golden Boy. No magic, no mechs, and no demons...well, except for the ones in their heads. 
And finally, maybe someday they'll bring Only Yesterday over to America! |

You want an anime about normal life? You need to be watching Binbou Shimai Monogatari.
It's about a couple of sisters who are poor ... I mean, really really poor ... frickin' DIRT POOR ... their dad left them and their mom is dead .... so they spend the entire series trying to live a normal life and make ends meet, often with a heartwarming moral at the end. (And money-saving tips during the eyecatch.) Dude, this anime is soooo normal and sooooo about life that if it were any more normal, it would be about, like, Japanese Tax Law*. I mean, these two sisters are just hanging out together ... because they're dirt poor .... *(directed by Koji Morimoto, produced by Studio 4°C, comes out summer 2008.) |

I would Second that. That would be the most amazing anime ever produced. You can even bet that I ould Spend 200.00 on the Box Set. The one that come with the Ledger and special tax evasion invisible ink!

This is probably one of the most fitting anime of your description in how slice of life it is. It's a romance at heart, but I think everyone else who's seen it knows what I'm talking about: relaxing and down to earth. |

How about Azumanga Daioh? It's just about the high school life of a bunch of girls. Oh, and it is unbelievable hilarious. Seriously... make sure you ready multiple changes of underwear before you watch it.
But other than that, there is no magic, no mechs, no anything. It's just people and their funny school lives. |

Honey and Clover-My favorite "slice-of-life" anime ever. Yeah, as Cloe pointed out, some of the characters and situations may be unrealistic for the sake of comedy, but even Morita comes of as a three-dimensional person. The reason why I think it's better than something like Nana (which is also good but I would hesitate to put into the slice-of-life genre) is because it never overly relies on drama; characters you love and care about go through tough times, but those are never focused on. People grow up, grow apart and just try to live life the best they can, all with a wonderful subtility that serves as an emotional anchor to the wacky, light-hearted comedy.
