Even funnier the 50th time Seriously i'd rather commit Seppuku than releasing this episode. I can't imagine how crappy they must of felt having to put this on air. |

Thankfully this episode had actual animation. QUALITY abounded, sure, but there weren't as many still images.
The trial was pretty interesting, I found, with spoiler[the defense acting as the prosecution and vice versa.] It's confirmed that the convicted are teleported directly to prison and are not killed on the spot. Overall a decent series. I enjoyed it. Though I'm sure the quality of the last 2 episodes are what most people will remember about it. |

It's a hard show to rate. I really like the first nine episodes and I personally thought that the core plot was quite strong Umetsu really has great ideas.... execution of those ideas though....
The epic animation FUBAR and the lazy resolution that emphasizes that Umetsu and his team have absolutely no business writing law drama make it so hard to remember that most of the show was good and all important mysteries got mostly solved. I guess though, it barely ekes out a good rating for one main reason. In the highly unlikely prospect that it did get a sequel, I'd definitely watch it.... set it a couple years later and have the premise become the introduction of a newly adopted "Wizard Detective" police force and problems with the crap law component could be completely solved ...The animation problems?... Let's face it, Umetsu needs help, the man cannot helm an anime project by himself. Feature films are delayed months to years, series composition is horrendous and he can never manage the work in a way that does not result in eventual animation disasters. |

Imo, this was a decent series in the beginning but later went downfall not just based on animation for episode 11 but the story as well. The characters were interesting in some ways but the ultimate execution didn't click for me in the end.
Was that a spoiler[cliffhanger at the end with Moyo? ] Last edited by Stark700 on Mon Mar 31, 2014 3:44 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Not really, since we know the answer. I think I liked Natsuna the most. She had every right to be displeased that Cecil was getting special treatment at first but it was nice to see them getting along at the end. |

I gave this show a Decent rating. It certainly had its problems in writing and animation, but I found it generally entertaining. Plus, I had to give it some points for its Canadian content.
Don't know if this will ever get a second season, but I'd definitely show up for one. |

Hm, I wonder if the CRTC would give it a pass if it were ever to air over here |

Hellz yeah! Heck, I'd bet it would be eligible for a Canadian Screen Award*
*Used to be known as the Gemini Awards. Basically the Canadian equivalent of the Emmy 'cept the shows are WAY shittier. |

Umetsu really should focus on the one thing he's been good at outside of designing and key animating: making some hardcore pornography. Without that, projects he helms are always just such a mess toward the end.

Werd. Those brief scenes he did did for the Awesome Cuts of Mezzo Forte and Kite (and his segment of Cool Devices) displayed some real skill. Dude understands if you're gonna do porn then guys should have penises the size of baseball bats.

That trial was even more surreal and ludicrous than the one in Galilei Donna. That must require some kind of talent?
I thought we were in for another round of great animation during the pre-opening segment, with almost no one talking while their mouths or even faces were on screen, and a whole lot of talked over scenery, but then they finally started moving normally. Yeah, I'd probably watch another season, but only because I really do like Umetsu's character designs for some reason, and for the fun of rubbernecking another trainwreck. |
