Can't say I understand what inspired this, but the whole concept is hilarious. Question: Why is it called "Hatoful Boyfriend"? Shouldn't it be called "Hatoful Birdfriend? Laughing

Because the bird pun is already is "Hatoful". "Heartful" is a word Japan uses sometimes that means "full of emotion" and "hato" is Japanese for "pigeon".

I didn't know that. Cool. But still, Birdfriends would be twice as punny and take away any confusion about gender/relationship role. (Are the birds looking for a boyfriend, or is the human looking for a boyfriend? I don't know! How do you tell a male bird from a female bird anyway?)

I guess you could call this a BL game--Birds' Love! Razz

Too much puns would make it too cheesy and lame. I think it's fine the way it is.
