Awesome never had the chance to play one of these but it looks interesting enough to pick up.

I tried the original release of this on my PS3 - the series always looked really interesting - but it just didn't really resonate all that well. Part of it was likely how badly I sucked at it....I kept accidentally hitting myself with my own traps. But beyond that, the original release of Deception 4 still felt a little "off" while I was playing. It's basically "Kiting Enemies: The Game".
Hopefully a new version of it might tweak the gameplay systems to make it feel a bit more engaging. I'm usually down with unique stuff like this, even if they get a bit repetitive in some spots, but something about D4.....one of the few games in this lifetime I've actually worked up the nerve to return. |
