I honestly don't think DW will work well as a live-action. I'd rather have a DW anime.

Trying to cramp the entire story of the three kingdoms into a few hours isn't going to work well unless they do multiple movies. And are they going to include Jin like TK have in their games? Animated or live-action TV series would be best, IMO. Would take a Dynasty Warriors movie using the in-game models, but not likely to happen.

Odds of it being another Red Cliff movie?
Live action TV series is out of the picture given the budget and production demands. The 1994 CCTV series took 4 years to produce the 84 episodes. The 2010 CCTV series supposedly took 5 years and had the highest budget in Chinese history for its 95 episodes. When you retell Romance of the Three Kingdoms in China, the audience has expectations. |
