That's a ton of characters to juggle around! Though the director did masterfully execute it in Shirobako so I don't have too much worries. I just hope this doesn't devolve into an unintentional cheesy horror thriller.

Well the director is known in Japan as "Crazy Boy" so I'm hoping he lives up to his nickname and gives us something crazy!

Why do I have this crazy feeling they're all dead? I'd like to be wrong, though.

This strikes me as one of those shows that will either be amazing yet will be unwatched by almost everyone, or will just be terrible... like M3.

I'm leaning more to the latter.
Are some gonna be killed or something? Or you just following a set of people each episode? Either way, like others mentioned, that's quite a bit of characters.

I did get some 'LOST' vibes from this.

Oh, I really hope it doesn't delve to the depths M3 did...

I'm glad somebody else feels my pain regarding M3. That show was the Lightless Realm alright.

And the scary thing about this comparison is this show and M3 share the same writer..... let's pray Mizushima will once again show us his wonderful talent at directing, turning impossible stuff into some of the most impressive stuff of their respective years. (look at dem Girls und Panzer film sales.... and that's his first film.... ever!)

^Yep. That's actually why I used it as an example. It was a show that no one talked about, yet it had quite a few very notable and talented people attached to it, including Mari Okada herself. So, yeah, I was actually looking forward to it. And then it happened. This definitely does strike me as a very very similar kind of situation. It doesn't help that Mari Okada is already working on Kiznaiver this season, which is most likely commanding much more of her attention.

I think it would make sense to have this be at least 24 TV episodes. for better character development. On the other hand, if Funi gets this and does a broadcast dub, it gives the chance for more new talent.
