These announcements are proving VR is not for gaming but meant as a peripheral to bring experiences that you wouldn't get normally at home. It's still nothing but a fad in the consumer market no matter how hard it's being pushed.

I think the IM@S core fanbase is ready. There are already a bunch of VR experiences along these lines, and a S4U VR experience is a natural fit to begin with.
The real question is where do we go from here. Fad or not I think there will be some demand for a home VR immersive concert experience. it might be a video game, it might be a next-gen home video playback format, whatever. |

Yeah there are already *cough*unofficial*cough* VR like this on the PCs
(And yes, there are also already VR for gaming.) |
