So... by physical edition they mean a box with a key code inside? Ugh. Why.

If I'm not mistaken so far NIS has been porting PSP versions of games to steam. I wonder if they'll continue with the PS3-exclusive titles like the next seven or eight Disgaea games or however many there were.

It can't be that hard to shove a disk inside. Maybe they don't want a DRM free release, but Steam games get pirated pretty easily by default.

Actually, that special edition does NOT come with a copy of the game. Says so on the online store page.

So what's the point of the physical edition then? I don't want steam.

And Uplay, Origin, Battle.net, and all those other platforms because having just 1 would be too easy. Japan's the only one putting out physical games I believe. I heard the localized version of Steins;Gate got a physical release on an actual disk, which is cool. Hopefully other localized Japanese games on PC get physical editions, even if these Steam ports don't

You sound like those guys 15 years ago that told me if I wanted to game on a PC I would need Windows. Well, they were wrong 15 years ago and you are wrong now. It's perfectly possible to play lots of games on Linux without steam. And by 'lots' I actually mean thousands.
