Just want to say, I appreciate the effort given to show the conversation rate variance. Considering that LOCALLY in Japan Silent Voice has surpassed the K-On movie, but if only taken in "US Dollars" K-On would seem to have done better because the dollar was stronger when it came out.

They should stop using the dollar to measure grosses in foreign markets. The exchange rate fluctuates a lot over time while the Yen as a currency has stable purchasing power so that it's even better to use Yen in Japan than dollars in the US to measure film grosses.

They're extending the strips, it must be because of the 'Makoto Shinkai' no effect affecting Kyoto animation
