It should be said that the translation is awful. Probably about Asia region localization tier or a bit worse.
It's a boatload of fun, and I can definitely recommend it still. The RPG adventure game was cut off, but the raising sim mechanics themselves are improved and the daughter has more personality.
Overall, PM2 is better IMO, but I can see some people prefering PM3 over it as it has its own strenghs and weaknesses when the two games are compared. It being the same price is pretty justified.

It's a shame that they don't have a real localization team working on this. It's too rough for me to enjoy in its current state.
