TBT that part never made any sense to me in the original tale, beast does not need to learn no be human, he was born human; he simply has anger management issues, it is like having to get along with someone with post traumatic stress disorder. |
"Human" qualities are usually considered positive, rational, civilized, etc. while animal qualities are negative, impulsive, chaotic, etc. The Beast's form reflected his nature, an immature and impulsive monster. The Beauty is supposed to tame him.

That is a false dichotomy, humans are animals (with bigger brains, but not bigger hearts).

It can be that the beast is an M, but I do not see Belle as an S, unless she is a deresadi.

The reason that we don't expect animals to be moral is because they aren't capable of it. There is no good or evil to animals because they lack the ability to understand those concepts. As horrible as evil people can be they do understand what they are doing and simply consider their personal desires to be more important than the lives of other people. That is why evil people try to hide their activities using money, threats, or murder. So even when excluding the issue of religion at least on a moral level people consider humans and animals to be different.
