I'm not sure but, it could be an contract dispute or maybe why not move the J-Pop Summit to Canada instead? Maybe Toronto?

I'm happy about this. JPOP Summit was in such a horrible location. Parking was severely limited and public transportation there was bad too. I remember the heads of it saying that they didn't like the location either, but they wanted to have it in San Francisco proper instead of the handful of other sites outside the city limits where they could hold a good size event without breaking their bank on the fees to rent the site.

This really sucks. I have been looking forward to attending this year's J-Pop Summit especially since it was going to be their 10 year anniversary. This really really disappointed me but there really isn't anything anyone can do if they are having disputes or problems.
