Has it been that long since you played Dragonquest? Because theyve added voices on all console versions since dq 8.

Has it been that long since you played Dragonquest? Because theyve added voices on all console versions since dq 8. |
DQ11 does not have Japanese voices on PC and PS4.

So... 8 and 11, since 9 was DS and 10 is an mmo. Neither 8 or 11 shipped with a JP voice track, they were only added for western releases. It is nice to see they’re adding JP voice overs to the switch release.

So it seems it's just a straight port of the PS4 version? That's a bit disappointing.

I've not heard anything of that, so I would say it's just for the trailer.

Dragon Quest has seen a lot of censorship/localization in the west. 8 replaced the OST as well as added voices where the Japanese version had none. Likewise, Dragon Quest 11 only had voice acting in the American version, not in Japan. In Japan these games are a celebration of oldschool RPGs, but Americans hated old-school RPGs, so they add in things like voice-acting out of fear that American audiences might find it a turn off.

I think I heard something about new about marriage in some way? Haven't play the game to understand what that's about. Interested to know if they'll be more stuff for the Switch version.
