Maybe it was just because I read it first, but I thought the humor didn't land as well in the anime as it did when I first read it in the manga. It was great seeing the series animated though. Hopefully we get a second season =)

Never read the manga for this. Only watched the anime since it was a low investment short. This show was peak ambivalence for me. Almost every time I came close to enjoying it, something pulled me back. This was especially true of Vegan, who straight up rapes Peter by cursing him into compliance. Femdom is fine. Femdom that crosses the line into sexual assault not so much. And while not every situation was as coercive as Vegan's introduction, many of them came uncomfortably close. Not that I would claim Peter is always blameless. He has the willpower of a wet noodle.

The last few episodes where they lampshade whether Peter should still be pursuing Luvelia at all with Spartacos moving on from his crush was what ultimately salvaged this for me, but man... it was really hard to watch overall.
