I read a couple of chapters of this a while ago. I enjoyed it, but ultimately moved on.
It's not bad and is an interesting and enjoyable set up, but it doesn't really grab you |

The first volume didn't have much in regard to the plot, however, starting the second one there will be a real aventure based arc which will span several volumes but as someone who has read all the current volumes of the LN i can confirm, Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! is first and foremost a lighthearted romance with decent aventures arcs.
While the manga has much better art than most LN adaptation, i can't really feel the same atmosphere as in the LN so i would recommend reading the latter. |

The title made me think it's like Anime News Nina, except rather than "news elves," they're country or culture elves, haha.

I actually like this one a lot, even if the story is quite slow. It's mostly just the two of them having a good time in Japan or the fantasy world, but that's part of the appeal. Reading it really makes me want to go on a trip with my friends again
