I really wanted to like this show and had been looking forward to it since it was announced, but between the boring characters and the horrendous CGI horses i just couldn't find anything to make me come back to it after 4 episodes :/

It's odd that the show is already doing a timeskip after just 7 episodes. I wonder if it was originally planned for two cours and then compressed into a single one.
