Like many plays in Japan, there are already two performers for each of the main character roles. (As noted in the article, the play's other Yubaba/Zeniba cast member is Mari Natsuki, who voiced Yubaba/Zeniba in the original movie.) However, the theater has since announced that there were multiple COVID-19 case diagnosed, and therefore Tuesday's performances have also been canceled. Understudies won't help if COVID-19 is already spreading within the production. |
