Especially if this is meant to be canon (maybe this being drawn by the anime's character designer confirms that?), I definitely appreciate Tae Yamada having an official origin. There's always been more to all the girls beneath their superficial personality traits, and it always felt unfair that Tae kept getting relegated as a one-note comedic relief. Maybe that'll change with the upcoming movie, as well as an explanation why she hasn't awakened like the others?...

A little disappointed that Legendary Tae is only getting her backstory in a spinoff manga but I do hope she awakens in the anime in a potential season 3
