The manga this anime is based on is pretty interesting (even considering the heroine is usually in a bad mood, because she doesn't want to work overtime), but I'd much rather have an anime based on "The Girl, The Shovel, and The Evil Eye" or "Isekai walking".

No, it's based on the light novel. The manga is simply another adaptation of it. |

So guild receptionist by day, adventurer by night? I guess it was inevitable they'd do a series where the cute receptionist is the main character. |

The English Wikipedia page says this is based on a web novel, but the one it links has a different title and author name listed. Is it conflating two different stories whose titles start with "Guild no Uketsukejō"? Or was it changed for publication?
Checking the linked story, its protagonist also seems to have a different name, and the Japanese Wikipedia page doesn't link that story, so I'm guessing editor error. |
