So this would mean and mark the 2nd time that Japan has adapted and remade a Korean webtoon into live-action (remember, True Beauty was first adapted into live-action and debuted back in 2020 prior to the animation). The first time I know of Japan remaking and adapting a webtoon that was previously a live-action K-drama and film was Misaeng, which was a K-drama in in 2014 based on a webtoon, and 2 years later it got a Japanese/J-drama remake.
Slightly off topic tangent: out of all webtoon that would've done well in J-drama or J-film adaptation, I'm kind of surprised that Japan didn't do a adaptation/remake of Orange Marmalade, given that it was adapted into a K-drama in 2015, and the story format, I always thought this would translate well in Japanese live-action format, but no Japanese companies has never done it which really surprise me. |

Hold on, as I said in my post, it was adapted first into a live-action K-drama before it got a Korean animation and a Japanese live-action film. |
