Part of me is very excited by this novelty, but considering that we get rooted by the animation when attacking, I fear that the fourth player to launch a sneak attack from a safe location after all the others are locked in animation will have an overwhelming advantage. I just hope it will be balanced in some way so it doesn't just become a battle of gaze until a fair and heroic masochistic player decides to sacrifice themselves, this kind of strategy wasted many games i played ( especially moba ) .

I'm hoping they vary the speed based on move and possibly pokemon, it would make sense for stuff like quick attack and extreme speed that get priority to complete faster.
