Ganglion (TV) Source: Manga (completed @ 1 volume, written by Hisaya Shiraiwa, illustrated by Takashi Itsuki) Demographic: Animation Studio: Studio Maf Genres: action, comedy Themes: adult cast, parody, superheroes, supervillains, workplace Plot Summary: Set in Tokyo in the early 2000s, Isobe is a fighter for "Ganglion Co, Ltd.," a company plotting world domination. Isobe undertakes missions such as the "Blow Up Mt. Fuji Operation" and the "Tokyo Cedar Pollen Operation," but is easily defeated each time by Hopeman. Isobe must also deal with his superiors' unreasonable demands. Here's another anime where I've got my fingers and toes crossed hoping it's one of Crunchyroll's TBA slots, or that Amazon Prime has acquired it and just hasn't gotten around to telling anyone. It's got a bit of a Go Go Loser Ranger! vibe but also a workplace comedy vibe. Trailer really snagged me.

No idea where to watch this but episodes seem to be 3 minute shorts from what I am reading.

Episode 1
The gag here of course is treating a cog in the villain machine as if he was an ordinary salaryman, down to him going home after "work" still dressed in full costume. At 3 minutes per episode, it doesn't seem like the one note joke is going to get too stale. Fun little diversion. |

With 3 minute episodes it is indeed hard for it to get stale. Interesting about the second episode is that becoming a villain is seemingly a valid and even popular career choice. |

I have rarely seen villains be as supported as the ones in this show. Meanwhile there has not been a single person to speak positively about the hero. |
