My friend has been looking for this. Now, I know it went on the market because I actually have it. But I cannot find it anywhere. Does anyone know if the product was discontinued or something, or if it is still possible to find it? I can find the first boxset everywhere, but can't find the second at all. Anybody have any information on what happened to it?

Geneon's license expired. They were even pretty much liquidating the single sets last year in bundle packages for $65 to $70 at places like TRSI and the anime corner store.

And the book sets have become increasingly harder to find at anything even remotely resembling a decent price for a new copy. I was going to post a couple of links for you but the ones I had last seen are already sold, even the ones I saw at over $200 each. Makes me wish I'd purchased additional book sets when I last saw them at close out prices last year after I first bought my own book sets. At the time I was lamenting that I paid almost $80 each for them and suddenly saw them elsewhere for $40 to $60. Rolling Eyes

Good luck to your friend finding a set though, it's definitely worth it; even if he/she doesn't like it you could always turn around and sell it for at least the same price you paid, even used, and maybe a lot more, especially if you buy it at a good price.

Well the release dates are the same. I went to a B&M Best Buy not two days ago and saw this on the shelf. Which is why I checked the site. I am heading that way tonight, I will stop by and check to see if it is still there. And if it is, it probably means you will be able to order it off the site as well.

Ah, I really think should have known this... Well, guess I'll have to break the news to my friend. He really wants it... He actually found it (maybe) here, but I honestly don't trust the site. It's filled with bootlegs. I'm not sure if it's the real deal (even with the picture, often times bootlegs copy the actual DVD covers).

Yeah, same cover art but it says the DVDs are region free so it's most definitely a bootleg.

I had said, "increasingly harder to find" but this is a bit ridiculous. I decided to do a few searches just to see if I could get a hit and it started to frustrate the heck out of me. The less I got the more I searched and I can't even get a near decent hit on ebay, much less any shops. I even searched some online retailers in Canada and got nothing. I don't remember the series being so in demand when it was in print.

Well I went to Best Buy last night and sure enough there was Set Two on the shelf. If you are serious about it you might at least give a try to your local one, or try online.

If not just ignore.

They actually have a set just sitting on a shelf? Awesome. I wonder if they'll check the B&Rs for it if PG's friend orders it online. If not whoever does buy it will be getting themselves a nice little collectible there. If they know just how rare it is when they buy it, that is.

And while the pictures do not match up on the site, when you do a UPC search for 013023261396 you come up with the correct product.

So out of those two online retailers, I am sure one will produce results, and both are not known to carry boots. And if not, I swear I did see this in the store, I checked and everything so I am not blowing smoke up your ass. It would at least be worth a shot.

Oh, I believe you about the best buy, I think that's cool. But it is sold out at Deepdiscount. If you click to try and purchase, it comes up with an error that it is no longer available.
