I've got an obscure 'name that anime' question..
Back in the early 1970s, I saw a particular toon that I haven't since been able to identify. This was most likely aired on network television circa 1974-76, at least from what I remember. Here's some basic plot: A kid and some furry animal friends drive up to a mountain fortress. Inside the fortress they encounter these nasty little trolls that are under some kind of mind control. As it turns out, these trolls were once either human, or furry animal, but were transformed when sucked through a device whose exit looks like the mouth of a gargoyle or other fanged beast. The part that I remember best is that when the trolls are sucked through the device a second time, they are destroyed, with their bones scattering throughout the fortress. Does this sound familiar to anyone? It seems unlikely that a show like that would be on network TV, but neither cable nor VCRs were around back then. Either that, or I just dreamt it up perhaps.. thanks |
