Personally, I hated it for mainly three reasons:

1) I never liked Ruri, and the movie rotates around here. I don't care if she is one of the top ten females in Japan. I don't like her that much.

2) Yurika is my favorite character in Nadesico, and she only got 5 minutes at the most of screen time.

3) Akito is my 2nd fave character, and he was completely different from the tv series.

Other then that the music and animation rocked.

YES! More Yurika + Akito! The people I characters I remembered and watched Nadesico for! They needed mooooooore.

How much of Izumi, Hikaru, Ryoko, & Inez are in the movie? Since...aside from Yurika, Akito, & Ruri they're my favourite characters (Minato, too Embarassed )...

EDIT: Oh yeah, and the oddball otaku technician...I'm ashamed to have forgotten his name...he in there at all?

Yea he was in for about 5 seconds when Hari shows up with the Nadesic C and fires the Gravity Blast Cannon.

There is no Gai Daigoji, he is my favorite charachter, without him the movie is nothing. The series was great even without him because of all the other great charachters. But most of the mainstays from the original series didn't show up here, and I think that really brought the series down.

I love Gai, he was a real Mecha freak.

I'm dissapointed to hear this about the movie. While I really like Ruri (bakka bakka!), I would've liked it to be a little more inclusive of the rest of the cast.

I'll still buy it, though, just to top off the series.

I did not have high expectations for this movie, and I still was disappointed.
Although, what's with all the Ruri bashing? she was one of the most amusing characters in the TV series (but in the movie she seemed kinda stale).

We're not bashing really. Sure, I liked her ok during the tv series, but ugh, that movie was too much Ruri. Ruri overdose. x.X
